Aqui es Mexico

To all of our Charlottesville viewers...Ryan and I have found the BEST Mexican restaurant we've ever been to in our little home town! It is called Aqui es Mexico. It is located by the Charlottesville Market (which is amazing, if you've never been there, either). It is a little challenging to find because it's tucked behind big semi's in the parking lot. Ryan and I got lost and had to ask for directions, which is sadly common for us. We make quite a funny pair when we're looking for a place we've never been. Anyway, if you're looking for a real authentic Mexican restaurant---go check it out. You won't be sorry. The best part about it is that it's pretty cheap. Together, we spent about $18 (including a generous tip). Plus, we both only ate 1/2 of the meal because the portions are so huge. So you get 2 meals out of it. I'm not sure what seasonings they add to their meat, but that's definitely what makes it so unique (and the Mexican cream cheese topping). Plus the chips, salsas, and tortillas are all homemade. And if you're a fan of churros and flan, they've got that for dessert. What a fun place to eat! The environment is cute, too, with orange walls and Mexican decor. If you ever want company, Ryan, Josh, and I would be happy to join you!
