My mom said that I need to start writing down all of the funny things that Josh does. Even though I keep a journal for Joshua, I thought I'd share them on my blog, too.
Joshua is on a "throwing food he doesn't want on the ground" phase. He may not be done with eating, but just doesn't want that particular food anymore. Ryan and I decided that if he throws it on the ground, he's done with his meal anyway & he has to pick it up and throw it away. We've learned that he LOVES to throw things away and it is actually a reward! He gets down from his highchair and I say, "pick it up and throw it in the garbage". He says, "broom! mop!" and runs into the kitchen to get both. It's adorable.
He sleeps with a binkie. We have taught him that he can only have binkies at naps and bedtime. So when he wakes up, he holds his binkie high into the air and says, "binkie bye-bye!"
When he drinks his milk, he's learned he gets a reaction from Mom when he says, "all gone!" and it's not. I say, "No it isn't!" and he laughs hysterically. He does it over and over again.
Whenever we go anywhere---grocery store, parking lot, park---he says "hi" to everybody. People love it.
He is my little grocery helper. He absolutely loves to bring me the groceries (especially the heavy ones like milk) off the table and bring them into the kitchen.
He used to love the ABC song. I would pause in the song and he'd try to fill in the correct letter. Now whenever I sing the song and pause he says, "no" in place of the letter. I try to trick him and can usually do it with the letter "p" or "o". I say, "ha-ha-I tricked you!" and he thinks it's hilarious. I get a big laugh out of him.
He is obsessed with the garbage. Wherever we go (library, home, church) and has the opportunity to roam, he ends up by a garbage can. "Just like my dad". Let me explain. My dad thought it was fascinating to watch the garbage men put the garbage in the truck when he was a kid. He often told the men, "I want to be a garbage man when I grow up". I bet those men thought he was a riot. I can see Josh thinking the same thing.
He loves numbers. Since he's got his ABC's down pat, he's moved on. As we walk up steps he says, "n(one), two, tee, sik, sik, seben, et, NINE, en" So smart!
He loves computer games. We play "Elno" on www.sesamestreet.com and "ABC's" on www.starfall.com They're awesome. If you haven't seen them yet, check them out.
He says, "OK" after many things I say. Let's get your shoes on, OK?" Shoes...OK!" Let's take a nap, OK?" "NAP?(he loves naps)...OK!" Don't worry, he also says, "NO" after many things, too.
He is obsessed with cars & trucks. Especially fire engines. "Wee-ohh, wee-ohh" is a constant sound I hear when he's awake (apparently all cars sound like fire trucks)
He can almost spell his name. I say, "How do you spell Josh?" I have to start him out by saying, "J" and he finishes it off, "O-S-H!" "What does that spell?" "Doss".
Lastly, he says "elephant" like "ep-e-tah". Cute.

Those are such cute and funny things that Josh does. You will be so glad that you wrote down these funny things. It's amazing how quickly we forget.
