"I'll be home for Christmas...You can count on me..."
That's right, folks, my big Christmas present this year is that I get to spend the Christmas season back in good ol' Salt Lake City.
And I'm so excited. I'll be arriving a week from today (Dec. 7th) through December 22nd.
When I tell people that we'll be back in Charlottesville for Christmas, they think I'm crazy. Let me explain why:
Ryan has interviews this entire month. From December 1st through December 22nd, he'll be HOME at total of 5 days (give or take a day from flights times). I didn't want to be alone with Josh with my best friends leaving town early, too. I'd be stranded in Charlottesville! AAAHHH!
Anyway, he is only allowed to miss 1 day a week for interviews. He has to make up the rest of the days. That starts on Dec. 26th and through the next week. Anyway, to have him be on time the day after Christmas, he'd have to take off on Christmas day. And who wants to travel on Christmas!?! Being the saintly, faithful wife that I am, I am returning home 3 days early to have a Porter Family Christmas.
Summary: I get 3 Christmas' this year! 1 from my family, 1 from Ryan's family, and one of our own. Don't you just love the holidays?

That's crazy how busy he is! It will be so nice to actually have him home those few days though. We are actually going to be here for Christmas and fly to Salt Lake City in the afternoon from Charlottesville. Those of us that will be here for Christmas Eve should all get together! Have fun in Utah and good luck with you busy month!
