J-E-L-L-O

Our little monster...what are we to do? He is such a climber now. Nothing is safe. Jell-o was put on the table to cool. A curious monkey climbs up without anyone knowing. He looks both ways and knows it's safe to dive in, face first. Ryan says, "Why is the Jell-o splashed all over the table?" "Oh, I don't know, but I doubt Josh got into it..." Then the boy walks in, evidence written all over his face. Ummmmm...Jell-o.
We should have known better. Just the day before Ryan put cookies on the table, wrapped with saran wrap on a paper plate for his hometeaching family. Then I saw Josh with a cookie in each hand, one with a bite out of it. I look down and cookies are everywhere. Oh, but the story doesn't end there.
Ryan made a new plate of cookies, this time putting it on the counter. We've learned our lesson! Then, time to go. Suddenly Ryan gets a stomach cramp. "Kim, watch these for a minute while I lay down" as he again sets them on the table. 10 minutes later broken cookies re-covered our floor. When are we going to learn? And experienced parents tell us it just gets harder from here!

What a good mom to take a picture (I love it with you smiling in the background) instead of getting mad. Sometimes I have to take a picture, even though I'm not laughing at the moment, because I know I'll laugh eventually.

It was Ryan's Jell-o so he was the one that was upset. I'm sure if I took the time to make it, I would've been mad, too. Instead it just made me giggle. Does that make me a terrible wife?!?
