Here's a picture of the happy and nervous couple BEFORE the ceremony began.
Every single medical student's name was called, randomly, out of a bag to hand out their envelope. Each student, in tradition, put a dollar bill in the box and the last name called gets to keep all the money! We got called pretty close to the end...but not quite close enough.
Dean Pearson gave a pep talk to remind all the med students how absolutely wonderful they all are. I agree! Apparently, this UVa class matched better than any other class they've ever had. What a great accomplishment.
Ryan is holding our fate in his hands...
Everyone got a glass of champagne (or sparkling cider, in our case) to toast right before opening the envelope.
Here's our LDS friends...each one proud and happy about where they are headed off to. Congratulations, everyone!
(Whew! I'm SO glad this day is FINALLY over!)
