Kohr's Brothers 5 Cent Ice Cream Cones

One of the things I'll miss about Charlottesville is the fun traditions that it holds. One of those is the Kohr's Brother 5 cent ice cream cones. It only happens once a year, but when it does---oh boy! The line goes half way around the building, but this year we only had to stand in line for about 5 minutes. It was awesome! Ryan and I are positive that they don't earn any money these days, and we aren't quite sure why they do it, but we love it!!! We are surprised that they keep it at 5 cents each. I'm sure they'd get just as much business by pushing it up to 25 cents a cone. We're glad inflation hasn't caught up with this business yet. In my opinion, it's the best ice cream in Virginia.

We went the day after the carnival. Funny thing is that all the kids got to ride the carousel--for free--as long as they wanted. If we would've known the night before, I think we could've saved ourselves a few bucks. Oh well.

I did get to run into an old friend from Greer there---Karin Reed. She was one of my most favorite people to work with. We laughed and cried together. She was pregnant the same time I was and we were emotional wrecks together. I was glad that I got to see her one more time before we move (in just 4 weeks---can you believe it?)

Kim! I can't believe you guys are moving in just 4 weeks! That will be so sad, eventhough we don't get to see eachother at all anymore. It will still be sad, just be sure to keep us updated on your blog and we are excited for you to welcome baby #2 into the world! When do you get to find out if it is a boy or a girl?
