As our time in Charlottesville comes to an end, we made a list of places to visit and things to do before we leave. We don't know when we will be back east again (especially the D.C. area) and Ryan really wanted to visit the National Zoo. We met my brother Jason and his family up there for the day.
We started out with a picnic. It was Jason's birthday, so we all sang "Happy Birthday" to him and had delicious chocolate cupcakes. He was pretty embarassed and sang along with us so that the people around us would think the song was for a child. We made sure they knew it was for him as we added his age at the end of the song. Te he he.
We had a great time visiting all the favorite animals and taking pictures with the tiger!!
I love this picture of Josh and Ry...
The picture represents how excited Joshy was to see EVERYTHING! He kept saying, "WOW...turtle, WOW..ducks, WOW..trees, WOW..rocks". He truly LOVED everything he saw...even the goat poop! Apparently, Ryan ate this type of fish on his mission in Brazil. He said they taste absolutely delicious!
Playing "Peek-a-Boo" with his cousin Alyssa during a break.
Fun Family Photo!!!
These 2 videos represent Joshy's impression of the zoo..."Funny and Wow!"
