2-year-olds

Since Ryan started working, Joshy has been so hard! I've never had a 2-year-old before, but man, my patience is running thin. Are most of them this whiney? Do they throw this many tantrums? I swear I put Josh in timeout at least 3 times a day and sometimes up to 6! If I hear, "No mommy, NO!!!" again, I might myself throw a tantrum!

Today in church, I took him out because he was throwing his books. He screamed and kicked while I held him in my lap. Ryan and I have a rule that when we go out to the foyer, he has to sit in our lap until he behaves. If he's being good, he can go back into the sacrament room. Anyway, I told him that I took him out because he was throwing books. We don't throw books and scream. He said sorry, gave me a hug, and we proceeded through the doors. And what was the first thing he did when we walked in? He threw that same book on the floor. The whole process started again. He is testing my limits, that's for sure.

Josh's nursery teacher said to us, "If your next son is anything like Josh, you will be so lucky. He's an angel!" Ryan and I looked at each other and laughed. If Josh is considered an angel and our next son is a little devil, we are sure in for it.

Don't get me wrong, Josh is still the best child in the world to me. I love him to pieces! I just have days...and apparently, so does he.

There's a reason why they call it the terrible twos. Usually, they outgrow it. Good luck!

They outgrow it! Different ages every child. Alexa was at 3, and Sam is now starting up with tantrums. Don't let anyone tell you your child is not an angel. They can sense changes too. Believe it or not. Good luck.
