I'm Hooked!

I have heard of people talking about this book for sooooooooooo long. I thought I wouldn't enjoy it. It was another one of those Harry Potter books that I am just not into, right? WRONG! I absolutely love this book and am having a hard time putting it down. I started it on Saturday and I am almost finished. And I'm very mad at myself. And it's not for falling head over heels for Edward. It's because I have so much to do before my parent's get here and I can't seem to get my head out of this darn book. Oh, how I love it. Why in the world did I wait this long to begin?

Emily said...: I found my self strangely enthralled with that book too and I don't generally read those sorts of books (although I am an obsessive Harry Potter fan). I didn't really like Edward a lot until the third and fourth book. Mike was always sad when I was reading them because I became what he called "vampire land." Becky R. said...: I had the same problem, with all of them actually. I also wouldn't read them because they were vampire books, but then gave in. I am a happy, positive person. I worked as a elementary teacher for 6 years. But, I have always wanted to be a wife and stay-at-home mom. Even though my life is full of stress & hum-drum duties, I feel extremely blessed.

I love to blog. It brings together my love of journaling (since I was 7 years old!) and taking pictures. My favorite things are playing with my kids, going for "family outings", running, lifting weights, playing tennis, and Zumba. I also like playing the piano and am currently learning the guitar.

Kids Say the Darndest Things!

"Mom, I painted at school today. I chose red which is a mono chromatic color!"
"Mom, Josh throwed pie in my face!" -Nathan after Josh pretended to throw pie in his face.
"Mom, that's gifusking!" -Nathan
Josh likes to say "Meow" randomly. At dinner time he said this, then I said "neigh" and Ryan said "woof". Nate then chimed in and said, "moo!" with a big ol' grin on his face. It was our first official dinner conversation as a family of 4!
"Jesus died on the cross 3 times...once the first day, once the second day, and once the third day." (when summarizing our FHE Easter lesson)
"Let's turn the dark on."
"Mommy, where does Jesus live?" "Ummm...." "He lives in the temple, Mommy!"
"Mommy, are you a princess?" "Yes I am a princess, are you my prince?" "No, I'm a Big Boy!"
The trend continues..."Josh, what do you want for dinner?" "Food."
"Josh, what do you want for Christmas from Santa?" "Christmas presents!!"
When asked what Josh wanted to be for Halloween, his reply was, "A Costume".
"Mom, he's a REAL baby (talking about Nathan)."
"It's higher and higher...I can't reach it!"
"Naters...you my friend...you my best friend."
"Look, Mom...it's a banana moon!"
