Catching Up...Easter (finally!)

I can't believe that I am just barely blogging about Easter. Sorry 'bout that. Stay tuned for a while. You'll be having a post a day for the next week (automatically done by my computer, thank you very much) from Porter House! Yeah!

Easter was great this year. Our playgroup had an Easter Egg Hunt. It was super fun. Our biggest playgroup of the year. It was a potluck feast and the kids had soooo much fun. It will definitely be a tradition.

We also dyed Easter Eggs. Josh actually did it correctly this year and didn't break open any eggs. Good for him. My little guy is sure starting to grow up.

On Easter morning, Joshy had a plastic egg trail coming from his room leading him to his Easter toy. He got some digger toys and Nate got a hand puppet book. It was fun. Later that evening, we had friends come over for Easter dinner. Yum. My friends (and husband) sure know how to cook!!

In other news, I am coming home (Utah) for 5 weeks in July. Ryan is starting 2nd year (wahoo!) and will be super busy. I was only going to go for 2 weeks, but he gave the go-ahead to stay for the month since he won't be around to help out and the temps are super duper hot in July. I am VERY excited to see my family and friends!!

Nothing ever came of my thyroid. My blood levels are back to normal and I'm feeling great. I still have to see an Endocrinologist this Friday, but it's just precautionary.

Also, my friends and I signed up to run a 5K on May 30th. So, I've been training for that and although the running is treacherous, I am loving how I'm feeling. We also have been biking up to the top of Sabino Canyon once a week and I'm enjoying that as well. My good friend, Carol, has her kids babysit mine so we don't have to rely on Ryan's schedule. What a sweet deal!

Nathan is now solely on formula, solids, and finger foods so even though our grocery bill has sky-rocketed (mostly from baby food), I feel free as a bird and can now go to bed at regular times. It feels great, although I didn't enjoy "pumping" for 8 months and 1 week, I'm glad I did it. I think it gave Nate a great start. But man, do I LOVE formula. It's as easy as pie.

We've been in Tucson now a year this week. I have loved it soooo much more than I ever thought I would. I think it's due mostly to my wonderful friends here. We live in the BEST. WARD. EVER. Thanks for making my "not-so-good year" and "great year" (due to Ryan's hours). I couldn't have survived it without you guys! (you know who you are).

Grace and Joshy. They are cute friends. We love those Madsens.

Joshy made that adorable flower before the hunt started. Carlie is the best.
