4th of July 2009

I'm a little late posting about our 4th of July fun, but here is goes anyway. We had a terrific day. It was filled with a lot of fun. We woke up early and went to the parade in Murray. We sat at Murray Park right next to this little park. It was very convenient.

Then we ate a pancake breakfast as we waited for the parade to begin.

Here we are watching the parade! We got a ton of candy, patriotic necklaces, and flags to wave. The only thing about this parade that bothered me was all the dumb cars that drove through with a little dinky sign that advertised their business. I think that each person involved in the parade needs to decorate their car to a certain standard. It was still fun, though.

While Nathan was sleeping, we all hang out together. We jumped on the trampoline, decorated a cake, had a family BBQ.

We also went bowling. Joshy loves to bowl and actually beat my sister! (Although he was using the ramp....)

We finished off the day with fireworks in our cul-de-sac. It was a fun day! We were all exhausted when the kiddos went to bed. We ended up watching, "Taken" which was just OK in my opinion. Happy 4th of July! I am truly proud to be an American.
