Heritage Park --- We love the Nelsons!

I am still posting pictures of our 5 week trip to Utah. I was going to sum it all up in a few posts, but decided that since this is my blog, I want to take my time and do individual posts on each activity. So, watch out for about 15 or so more posts on this trip. I want to savor every memory. We had a really great time.

When we lived in Charlottesville, Virginia, we had some really great friends. I got to see one of them while we visited: the Nelsons. Abby and Josh are just 6 weeks apart. They hung out a lot as babies and the last time they were together, Joshy had just started walking! They became quick friends and picked up right where they left off. We wish we lived closer so they could see each other more often.

We went to "This is the Place Heritage Park". It was a lot of fun. The kids rode a train (all by themselves!) around a lake, rode some horses, played in the playhouses/train, and we finished off by getting some delicious ice cream. An all around great day ! I would suggest to anyone who lives in the Salt Lake area or visits there to go here. It's a lot of fun.

Josh and Abby taking sips -- it was a hot day!

Josh and Abby petting lambs from INSIDE the fence. Way cool.

This is the best Joshy has ever written his name! I was very proud!

Best Buds holding hands! Adorable, right?

Wahoo! A ride on the bus!

Abby and Josh going around the lake on the train all by themselves! Aah! They grow up so quickly!

Matt and Nathan (just 2 months apart...how cute, right?)

I love this video of Nathan and the sheep. It cracks me up every time I watch it!

We love Heritage park, my mother-in-law volunteered there as a pioneer woman this summer so we went often. We always had a great time and there was so much to do, we still never saw it all-I too would recommend it to anyone!
