I'm such a good helper.
I'm cold, naked, dirty, and miserable. Take me home!We just got home from picking raspberries and blueberries down at Free Union. It is the cutest little "mom and pop" place. It is based totally on the honor system and they even have a box full of money to leave yours in. Talk about trust!
Anyway, today it rained and rained and rained. If you know Ryan, when his mind is set on something he wants to do it immediately! So, we went. And it rained...hard. Josh and I sat in the car while Ryan picked. It was OK...for about 10 minutes then Josh wanted to get out. So we got out. And Josh slipped right in the mud. But we kept on keeping on. We picked through the rain and Josh kept falling in the mud. After a time, Josh didn't even cry anymore. He would just pick himself right off the ground and start picking and eating blueberries again.
He was soaked when we finally finished. Note: Blueberries and raspberries take about 5 times longer to pick then strawberries! We had to strip him down to his diaper on the way home, which he didn't seem to mind. What a fun adventure! We plan on going back in about a week. Yeah! More raspberry jam! (Thanks to Ryan)
