All Twisted Up

I was substitute teaching for aerobics this morning (for a bi-weekly ward enrichment activity) and I had an accident. I looked down and saw Josh playing at my feet and as I stepped out of the way, I landed wrong on my foot. I layed there for a minute *hoping* nothing was wrong and not daring to move to not feel the pain. A friend ran in the kitchen to grab some ice. I could still point and flex so I figured nothing was wrong. I was just a tad sore. I sat down for a break & decided that I was fine. I wanted to finish teaching, even with the persistence of everyone telling me I should stay off of it.

Anyway, my ankle has swelled up like a watermelon (Ok, more like apricot). I can walk, but with a limp. AAARG! I hate being disabled...even for a short period of time. It comsumes my mind & makes it hard to get things done. Hopefully it will only be a few short days until all the achiness subsides.

Oh,my poor Kimmy. I'm so sorry. Sometimes those sprained ankles can be worst than a broken bone. I hope the swelling goes down quickly but remember to keep your leg elevated as much as you can. I know that will be hard with little Josh but do your best.
Love, Mom

Thanks, Mom. I wish you were here to make me chicken soup & swoon over my ankle! :) It's not so bad today...I think it'll heal in no time. Thanks for sending your love!
