There's been a drought here for a few months now. Today was the first real rain day we've had in awhile. The leaves on the trees are not as colorful as they usually are, which is sad since it's probably our last year here. But hopefully it will rain all weekend---maybe more and help out those in our area who use well water for their homes.
We had some great plans today that were cancelled. Apple picking, cider, doughnuts, and a medical school picnic. I'm a bit disappointed. But I was able to watch, "Ant Bully" which is a really cute animated movie & take some pictures of Josh playing in puddles. Ryan also made some homemade cookies for us to eat. He's a great baker. We are carving pumpkins with some friends tonight & taking them to our ward's trunk-or-treat tomorrow night for a contest. More fun pictures to look forward to!
As far as our week went, we got those professional pictures taken. All of them are so cute and we're having a tough time deciding which ones to order. Some were taken in his cowboy costume and others were taken in a sweater vest with jeans. I wish I could post them for some help in choosing, but we lost the cord to our scanner.
Ryan is now taking Medical Spanish. He only has class from 4:00-6:00pm 5 days a week for the next month. So he is home a lot. I honestly think that this is the most time I've EVER spent with him...including courtship! But it's been fun having him around & help out with Josh. He starts interviews on November 9th and they go throughout January, just about 1 or 2 a week. He had 18 schools offer him interviews (so far) and he has 17 scheduled. We still haven't heard back from Utah or Colorado (our top 2) but probably won't until after the Dean's Letter goes out (nationally on Nov. 1st). We're hoping that's why we haven't heard back from those schools yet. But keep us in your prayers if you'd like us closer to home. We need it! Needless-to-say, I'll be a single mom--on and off--for a few months. But it will be well worth it.
I also got a 2 huge boxes of winter clothes off of Craig's List for only $30! I have so many that I couldn't even hang them all up in Josh's little closet. They're awesome & most of them are super cute. The outfit he's wearing in the rain is one of them. I just love a good deal.
We had his 18-month check up yesterday, too. He is now in the 90% for height & 25% for weight. Tall & skinny...the cutest that they come! He continues to be right on track for all of his milestones & we are continually grateful for that blessing. The doctor was impressed, however, that he can now say & recognize all of the letters. Kids typically learn the ABC song first & letters after, but Josh did the opposite. He has moved on to learning numbers, shapes & colors, but letters will always be his #1 love. We are very proud parents, to say the least.

I have such a handsome grandson. I feel very blessed to be his grandma.
Love, Moma.
Somehow I typed in Moma instead of mom. Anyway, thanks for the pictures.
