Pay It Forward

We went out to dinner tonight at Mimi's Cafe. One of our favorites. We took the boys and Joshy was amazingly cute. All the people around us just kept gooing over him. He would give them "fives", ask him his name, and try to make him laugh. It was fun. Nate is always adorable, although a little fussy tonight, and kept being passed back and forth between us as we took turns eating. We felt like all eyes were on us.

At the end of the meal, the waitress gave Josh and free dessert w/ gummy worms and chocolate pudding/oreo cookies. So sweet. Then, as we were waiting to pay, the waitress came out and said someone in the restaurant paid for our meal---tip and all.

What!?! Seriously?!? It took us both by surprise and we were of course thrilled and a little shocked by the kindness that surrounded us tonight. We're not sure if we had "poor" written all over our face or exactly what the motivation was for them to do that, but we are honored. And we hope that one day when we have the means, we can pay it forward to someone else. I only wish we could have said thank you to the couple next to us that paid for our meal. They left before we had the chance. What a great, unexpected evening.
