Joshy loves to play in the sink in the bathroom. Occasionally, when I'm being especially lazy, I let him do it. It keeps him occupied and I have a few minutes to myself. He gets all sorts of toys and things around the house to "wash". It's pretty cute, actually.
Today I was blogging and Ryan was reading and we both knew what Josh was up to. No good. It had been a good 20 minutes of peace and quiet. I knew from experience that a big mess was being had. When I went in to see the mess I didn't expect what I saw.
Joshy had pulled the towel from under basket of the high counter (which he couldn't reach) and grabbed the basket. Inside the basket were my prenatals. I put them in a weekly pill container that is not at all child proof. It was empty. My heart sank. An overdose? What kind of a parent am I?
But soon I saw the pills scattered about the room. Some in the sink, on the ground, and of course rubbed all over his face and eyes like make-up. I wish I would've grabbed the camera. But all pills were counted for. And why wouldn't they be? Those pills taste horrible! I have got to be more careful, though. There is a reason that Poison Control tells all parents to have that phone number close by! I thought those pills were in a safe spot...wrong! Mischievous little monster.
