Virginia: Roanoke: Part II

Next we visited Janeen (Ryan's cousin) and her husband, Andy. They have 3 kids: Alexa (8), Sam (3), and Phoebe (2 months). We have stayed with them many times in the past while we lived in Charlottesville. And like always, we had great food and lots of fun.

The Symes are our game buddies. Ryan and Andy enjoyed a few games of Halo while Janeen and I chatted, watched movies, and munched. And then in the evening, we enjoyed games together. They beat our pants at Cranium and we have now vowed (Ryan and I) to never, ever, under any circumstances ever to play that game again. Yes, we lost that badly.

We also went to Sam's Club (a Roanoke tradition), ate at Applebee's and watched "Up". I didn't catch many pictures of which I am bummed, but Sam and Josh played really well together. They chased each other around the house laughing. It was a joy to be with them and meet their newest addition.

I got to go on such a beautiful run here. It was the day the weather was still warm, but overcast. The colorful fall leaves were breathtaking and in that moment I wished I lived in Virginia again. But then it rained the next 3 days, and the thought escaped my mind and never came back.
