March Mania 2012

In March, we were all starting to feel better, although we had 1 more bug hit our family.  It was short-lived, though.  Maddie was teething like crazy this month, and didn't have much of an appetite nor was she is in best spirits.  But to her defense, she had 3 teeth coming in simultaneously.  Ouch!

We went to Utah this month to find a house, but didn't feel good about any of them.  It was a hard trip.  We've decided (reluctantly) to rent for 6 months and take our time to find something that we love.  I was happy to spend some time with my Grandma, who is in her last days.  It was also good to have a break from the kids and to spend alone time with my sweet Ryan.  I only got a few pictures of the trip though.  Sorry!!

Joshua turned 6 years old on March 4th.  We had a fun weekend of going to Chuck-E-Cheese's. swimming, presents, and cake.  We got him a sweet new bike among a few other toys.  It was a fun weekend to celebrate our eldest.  Joshua got a Student of the Month award at his school, too, along with 3 other Kindergarteners in his class.  He was very proud of himself, as was I.  He got a multi-colored marker which he still treasures.  He also starting collecting bottlecaps this month and has a whole boxful of them now.  I think it's awesome.  He also got glasses this month, which he loves and wears all the time.  He is doing well with them, only missplacing them a few times so far.  And they aren't broken yet!

Nate continues to love preschool and is the cutest little man.  He loves to play with action figures and has a great imagination.  He says funny things like, "We need to go to the story to buy Daddy some new hair".  And "Daddy can fix ANYTHING.....even the balloon I just popped, right?"  Love him.

Maddie is an expert crawler now and has mastered pulling herself up on furniture.  She also babbles and says dadadadada the most and bababababa among others.  She lost weight this month and cried whenever I tried to feed her baby food.  It was a frustrating month in Maddie Land.

Ryan is so done with residency. I don't blame him. All these long hours and he just wants to be home with the family. We miss him when he has to work this much. The house seems incomplete when he's not here.
